Learn Quran

Free, private lessons that help new Muslims begin their journey with the beautiful Quran.

“Not only did I memorise my first Surah of the Quran, but I also learned how to confidently practice at home by myself. Alhamdulliah.”

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."

(Sahih al-Bukhari 5027)

What you'll learn

During your private lessons you’ll learn 4 of the most important Chapters in the Quran. Through Allah’s Wisdom and Mercy, they are also some of the shortest and easiest Chapters to memorise – even if you don’t know Arabic.

Al-Fatihah

The Opening

Al-Ikhlas

The Sincerity

Al-Falaq

The Daybreak

An-Nas

Mankind

How you'll learn

Successfully learning these 4 Chapters is very achievable and enjoyable. To illustrate how short and sweet these Chapters are, have a look at these facts:

4

Chapters

We’ll teach you 4 fundamental chapters of the Quran: Al-Fatihah (The Opening), Al-Ikhlas (The Sincerity), Al-Falaq (The Daybreak) and An-Nas (Mankind).

20

Verses

Each Chapter is broken down into short sentences called Ayat (Verses). We’ll slowly memorise each one to build your confidence.

<2

Pages

The 4 chapters you’ll learn are less than 2 pages long, combined. Al-Fatihah can be found on the first page of the Quran and Al-IkhlasAl-Falaq and An-Nas are all found on the last page.

87

Words

In total, you’ll only be memorising 87 words of Quran – that’s not much at all. For example, Al-Ikhlas is only 2 lines long but the reward for reading it is equal to having read 1/3 of the entire Quran!

Small effort, great reward

الم

Reward for every letter

The Prophet (ﷺ) said “[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that ‘Alif Lam Mim’ is a letter, but ‘Alif’ is a letter, ‘Lam’ is a letter and ‘Mim’ is a letter.”

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2910)

x2

Reward for stuttering

The Prophet (ﷺ) said “One who is skilled in the Qur’an is associated with the noble, upright recording angels, and he who falters when he recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult, for him will have a double reward.”

(Sunan Abi Dawud 1454)

1/3

Al-Ikhlas is equivalent to one-third of the Quran

A man heard another man reciting ‘Qul Huwallahu Ahad’ [Al-Ikhlas] and repeating it. The next morning he came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him about that. The man thought that it was too little, but the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “By the One in Whose Hand is my soul [i.e. By Allah], it is equivalent to one-third of the Quran.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari 6643)

Certificates

Recognise your achievements and hard work with a special certificate for every Chapter you memorise.

Who can be a teacher?

Given the importance and weight of responsibility when teaching the Quran, it’s no surprise we vet every teacher to ensure they qualify with our strict criteria for knowledge, empathy and professionalism. Here are some checks we verify our teachers have passed:

FAQ

Not at all.

In your first lesson, we’ll spend a little bit of time covering the alphabet so you’re familiar with the sounds, but you don’t need to know Arabic to benefit from the Quran.

Fun fact: Did you know that the Prophet ﷺ and some of his companions were illiterate? They didn’t know how to read or write Arabic and they still memorised the entire Quran perfectly!

No. All lessons are 100% free.

Our teachers only focus on teaching 4 chapters of the Quran: Al-Fatihah (The Opening), Al-Ikhlas (The Sincerity), Al-Falaq (The Daybreak) and An-Nas (Mankind). If you don’t know them and want to learn them, you are more than welcome to book a lesson.

Everyone’s journey with the Quran is a personal one and the time it takes to memorise any part of the Quran will vary. Your teacher is trained to recognise and accommodate your style of learning to ensure you benefit and make progress in every lesson.

In simple, no. We are more than happy to support you for however many lessons you need to learn the 4 Chapters to graduate.

As our teachers are all humans with only 24 hours in a day, we do operate a fair use system which only allows students to book a single lesson in advance. This helps make sure everyone can benefit from the programme.
